I have had such special visitors at my house the past few days...bringing delicious food and more importantly...precious time to be together.(Thanks Staci, Jen and Tracy)
My very favorite teacher of all time, Mrs. Ringold(I still have a hard time calling her Julie), brought us homemade chili, warm bread and delicious cookies. I feel so blessed to have met her when I was 12, 33 years ago. Who is so lucky enough to have a teacher that keeps supporting and loving them 33 years later? WOW!
And today, my dear friend, Kelly, DROVE FROM MOSES LAKE to bring us a mexican feast.(Thanks Julie and Lisa for helping) I met Kelly almost 5 years ago when I was doing literacy coaching for the state. She had just taken over as the principal at a school in Moses Lake. She cares deeply for her staff and students and is changing lives EVERYDAY. She truly is one of the most thoughtful people and has been such an angel to me.
SO...it is official...I have been SPOILED rotten by all of you the past month. All of the big and little things have lifted my spirits and carried me through some of the most challenging days of my life. Yet through it all I have continually said, " I am BLESSED beyond anything I could have ever imagined."
I will update again after we see the genetic counselor next week and make a final decision about having my ovaries removed.
Curt and I planned a long weekend in Coronado about 6 months ago..way before I knew I had cancer. And guess when it is....THIS WEEKEND! I am so thankful to have the time to relax and celebrate being CANCER FREE.
